I moved here few months ago, while the facilities are modest compare to other Avalons I have been to, yet the staff of Avalon Mosaic are spectacular : Nabila is excellent example of leadership, she was very helpful during the tedious moving process, and so were Ariana; I love seeing George and Anna with their kind smiles whenever i walk in, as i know my request will defiantly be answered, Tamana on the other hand is great adds on to the team, i enjoyed knowing her after being here . Moreover, I would like to cherish Maintenance dept for their great services. It's nice cosy community, am happy being part of it.
The amenities are nice, the building looks good, and the staff are friendly. The major problem I have is that the staff usually take months to resolve maintenance issues. The following items have either taken months to be resolved or are still unresolved after months of pestering the office:
- Garage door not operating.
- Amazon locker not functioning.
- Gym equipment broken or missing.
- Fire alarm annunciator going off continuously for days in stairwell.
- Fire alarm annunciator going off continuously for days in entrance.
- Trash in the back entrance.
Sometimes the staff will say, "Unfortunately, we don't have eyes on that area," or "we're not in the stairwell, so we don't know." Well, you should probably walk the grounds regularly so you can see these issues and solve these issues, rather than requiring residents to harass you over them until it becomes easier for you to solve the problems than just keep hearing from the residents.
Another response that the staff sometimes gives is that the problem isn't caused by the staff but some outside vendor or a shop that shares the building. If that's the case, Avalon should refund part of the rent so residents can use that money to negotiate with the vendors/shops to solve the problem. After all, we didn't move in here with the understanding that there would be a loud, periodic sound in the stairwell or entrance for days on end that "is out of your hands" -- or that "we're waiting on Amazon for the locker repair" or "we're being forced to wait on the garage part by the vendor."
I’ve lived at this complex for about a year and a half and have had a pretty stellar experience so far! The customer service, especially from Tamana, is fantastic. After about a year at one apartment unit I wanted to transfer to a bigger unit and she made what I thought would be a very stressful process absolutely seamless. She is extremely knowledgeable and gets things done. I feel so lucky to have her in the building!

I want to highlight two members of the Avalon Mosaic team. George Conger & Anna Shine.
George has helped me get situated at my new apartment, and has even helped me with troubleshooting some painting / drywall issues I was having. He is very knowledgeable and remembered to follow up on the numerous asks I've had for him. He is organized and professional, and someone I can count on to help me with any trouble in my new home.
Anna Shine is a fantastic member of the community team. She has consistently been polite, good humored, and most importantly, knowledgeable about the Avalon Mosaic community. I recently moved in, and Anna has made the transition smooth - pointing me in the right directions and giving tips as I get situated in my new home. If you ever have a question, Anna is your person.
I’m happy here at Avalon! And big shout out to Tamana! I’ve been here for awhile and she’s always friendly, helpful and attentive.
Check the news 😬 …
Thank you to George Conger for exceptional service and help. Leon Mervis
Not a great experience with this apartment complex! The lack of customer service and rerouting customers isn’t a good look for Avalon. My tour was scheduled at 3 pm on Saturday, and due to the holidays, the traffic was heavy, especially since I’m coming from Bristow. I was 30 minutes late, and I called the front desk to inform them, but no one picked up. I called the main line with Avalon, and the rep told me it’s self-guided, so it’s okay to be late. I arrived with my husband only for the front desk reps to tell us they're going on a break, and we need to wait until they're back, which is an hour. I understand that I’m late and they need to take a break, but what bothered me is that they didn’t even try to work something out with us. Also, if the office closes at 5, why are they taking a lunch break at 3:30?
Despite all that, we still applied for the apartment because it was near our job, and we didn’t let bad experiences ruin it. It gets worse where my husband didn’t get approved, but we were trying to find ways to get him approved since I got approved. I spoke to four people from the Avalon office, three from First Advantage, and all individuals told us different things and offered different solutions. The last girl we spoke to in the Avalon office was straight up rude. Instead of understanding our frustration, she wanted to show attitude because I’m addressing my concerns. The way she was speaking to us made it seem like either we didn’t know how to speak English or were uneducated.
Overall, if you guys are interested in the apartment complex, please make sure you ask every question you can so you don’t get blindsided and be aware of rude customer service!
